The Optical Splice Closure – CEO-DM DPR consists of a system with a dome, clamp, and plastic base, housing a tray system that ensures signal continuity between optical cables. Its primary function is to protect and shelter optical fiber splices from external aggressors, preventing the ingress of external fluids into the interior. The CEO-DM DPR Closure is supplied with components for sealing the oval entry. Typically, the CEO-DM DPR Closure is provided with two trays, each capable of accommodating 144 optical fiber splices, in a top splice configuration. The CEO-DM DPR Closure can hold up to eight trays, with each tray accommodating up to seven spools, with capacity for eighteen 45 mm or 60 mm (1.2 mm wire) protectors each, totaling 126 splices per tray, allowing a final capacity of 1008 splices per closure. The trays can also accommodate spools for up to five passive optical splitters (PLC type), with power division up to 1:8. The tray of the CEO-DM DPR Closure allows various configurations for housing, both for feed fibers and branch fibers, whether from optical cables or splitter distribution. The CEO-DM DPR Closure features an oval entry for the main cable, with a diameter between 12 mm and 20 mm, installed in a “bleed” configuration, meaning without interrupting the non-distributed fibers in the closure. The CEO-DM DPR Closure has sixteen entries for external optical cable branching, with eight for cables ranging from 8 mm to 13.5 mm in diameter and eight for cables with diameters between 8 mm and 20 mm.
